Vayalen Boutique Hotel is a new, cozy hotel in the 2nd district of Vienna. The hotel is located only 2 minutes away from the subway station Taborstraße and is therefore very easy to reach.

As the breakfast chef you’ll be in charge of our daily breakfast buffet for 50-80 guests. From ordering products to cooking and making sure that everything is clean and ready.

Position Type

• Part-time 20 hours/week
• Morning shift (6:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Sundays 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM)

Salary

The base salary will be according to the mentioned in the collective agreement for hotels. Of course we reward corresponding professional experience and qualifications and offer attractive salary development according to your performance.

Your Role

• Independant preparation and presentation of dishes for our breakfast buffet
• Inspection of incoming food for quality, completeness, and freshness
• Support of employees to ensure the prescribed quality
• Control and compliance with cleanliness in the kitchen
• Proper storage and labeling of food according to HACCP guidelines
• Preparation and planning for the next day, e.g. Mise en Place and menu coordination
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of kitchen processes

What Should you Bring With You?

• Completed training as a chef or comparable prior experience
• Creativity and enthusiasm for contributing to the design of menus and dishes
• Passion for cooking and a strong commitment to quality
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently
• Understanding of the Kosher kitchen – of advantage
• Fine German and good English skills for communication within the team and with suppliers
